Sophomore 2025-2026 Dual Credit Informational Meeting
Garrison ISD will be hosting a parent/student interest meeting with Carlton Driving School on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 6 PM in the New High School Gym. Students who are age 14+ are invited to this meeting.

After careful consideration and evaluation on early morning road conditions Garrison ISD will be closed on Tuesday January 21st. There are several county roads and bridges that cause concern for travel. Classes will resume at regular time on Wednesday. We apologize for any inconvenience this creates but want to ensure the safety of our students and staff are our main priority.
After review of the most recent forecast for our area, Garrison ISD will have a late start at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 21st. The window for precipitation is extremely small at this time and a late start will allow school personnel to re evaluate the roads Tuesday morning. If the weather forecast is wrong we will make adjustments before 7:00 am but at this time please plan for gates to open and busses to run 2 hrs later than normal on Tuesday.
The suspect has been arrested. The secure status has been released .
Monday, January 20, 2025, will be a student/staff holiday!

Important cheer tryout information!
Out of an abundance of caution Garrison ISD will be having a late start Friday, January 10, 2025. School will start at 10 AM. Buses will run approximately 2 hours later than usual and arrive at the school at 9:30 AM. Drop off will begin at 9:25 AM. We apologize for any inconvience that this may cause. Stay safe & warm!
We are aware of the possibility of inclement weather in the next couple of days and are monitoring it closely . Based on the current information, we are planning to have normal school hours tomorrow, Thursday, January 9. We will monitor the weather tomorrow to make a decision for Friday, January 10.
Please remember that Christmas on the square was postponed to this Sunday, January 12th. Vendors will be set up at 12:00 and performance from GISD band and PreK-1st grade students will begin at 2:00.
Tonight, Mrs. Delores Bell and the late Mr. Luke Adams were inducted into the Ring of Honor. Thank you for your contributions to Garrison ISD.
Mr. Luke Adams & Mrs. Delores Bell will be inducted into the Ring of Honor on Friday, December 20, 2024 between the Junior Varsity Boys and Varsity Girls basketball games. The JV boys will begin at 5 PM.
Mrs. JoAnn Barton was inducted into the Ring of Honor this morning. Congratulations to Mrs. Barton and thank you for all you have done for the community of Garrison.

Christmas on the square has been postponed until January 12, 2025. We will induct Mrs. JoAnn Barton to the Ring of Honor on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Elementary Christmas program. Mr. Luke Adams & Mrs. Delores Bell will be inducted on Friday, December 20, 2024 at the basketball game.
