On Monday, April 15, 2024, the Garrison ISD Board of Trustees recognized the state champion powerlifting team and Garrison's 1st female individual weight class champion at their monthly board meeting.

On April 8, 2024, if weather cooperates, Garrison ISD campuses will be participating in viewing the Solar Eclipse. According to time and date the eclipse will begin at 12:25 and be at a maximum around 1:45 before concluding at 3:05. Our area will experience .975% magnitude on the solar eclipse scale.
If you would not like for your child to participate in the viewing of the solar eclipse please communicate with your student’s appropriate campus office prior to April 8th.
As always, student safety is our top concern. Looking directly at the sun is unsafe. This can occur even if your eyes are exposed to direct sunlight for just a few seconds. To view an eclipse safely, students must use eclipse viewers/glasses that have a specialized solar film designed to protect your eyes. At no time should students look directly at the sun without eclipse glasses or eclipse viewers.
The district will provide certified eclipse viewing glasses for students and staff wishing to participate in this rare event. Please speak with your child about the importance of following safe viewing practices at all times during this event.

Thursday April 4th is GES class pictures. We have not received paper order forms to send home. However, Life Touch will be sending home paper proofs with order forms after pictures. If you wish to order ahead, please use the attached digital forms.
Garrison ISD will accept applications for transfer for 2024-2025 Monday, April 8, 2024 - Thursday, June 6, 2024.
