Today's Middle School Track Information
Garrison Middle School Twirling tryouts will be Friday, April 1st. If you are a 6th - 7th grader interested in trying out, there will be a meeting for the parents and candidates on Wednesday, March 2nd at 5:45pm in the Band Hall.

Garrison ISD will be having the Scholastic Book Fair from February 28 - March 3 at the library. We are looking forward to this exciting event!
Garrison Elementary raised $2,492.45 this year for the American Heart Association by participating in the Kids Heart Challenge. We appreciate all who participated. The students have received their charms, and additional prizes have been ordered and will be delivered as soon as they come in.

Guardian Plan Survey
Dear Bulldog Family,
The Garrison ISD Board of Trustees has begun collecting information regarding the guardian plan in Texas public schools. This plan is currently being implemented in several surrounding school districts. According to the Texas Education Agency, the “Guardian Plan” allows school boards to authorize certain school employees to carry firearms on campuses at all times. It also lets school boards designate the training standards for those specific to employees.
At this time we are collecting information from our parents and community members.

School Health Advisory Council
The Garrison ISD school district has established an advisory council (The SHAC) to advise the school board and assist the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in the district's health education plan. The advisory council will advise and support the school's efforts to assess their needs and to design programs to help children develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to become healthy, productive citizens. This council may include parents, students, teachers, school administrators, voluntary organizations, health professionals, and other concerned citizens. The council meets twice a year.

Garrison ISD UIL Realignment Information
Dear Bulldog Family,
Due to inclement weather, Garrison ISD will be starting at 10:00 AM tomorrow, February 4th. Buses will run approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes later than normal. Parent drop-off will begin at 9:30 AM.
Please monitor the Garrison ISD app and social media sites for any updates. We will be monitoring the weather for any changes.
